Songs of Faith Ministries is truly a grass roots effort to spread the gospel through music and poetry, all done up in the cowboy way. From smaller flock churches to large audience events, Mike and Suzann Burns seek to share the good news of God’s never ending love.

Based in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, Mike provides the music, singing and poetry for Songs of Faith Ministries, and his wife Suzann takes care of bookings, sound and the product sales. Together they will travel anywhere and any time the door of opportunity cracks open to minister to the hearts, minds and souls of all those who will hear.

We are a nondenominational music ministry, committed to: (i) seeing others come to Christ and experiencing a new and abundant life; (ii) strengthening believers in their walk with God; and, (iii) inspiring folks to worship through the great old hymns of the faith and traditional gospel songs, sung in Western style.

The roots of our ministry are planted firmly in the cowboy churches that are held at cowboy poetry and music gatherings and local churches. Over the years, participation in these events confirmed the need for a dedicated music ministry, one that blended gospel songs with traditional hymns to bring folks to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and encourage them to live for Jesus.

Songs of Faith Ministries, therefore, focuses on using music and Scripturally sound lyrics to lift up the Lord Jesus as the one and only answer to man’s alienation from God. We share our Christian witness at cowboy poetry gatherings, gospel concerts, cowboy churches and local churches. Our ministry is financially sustained by any fees or honorariums received from performances and concerts, receipts from the sale of CDs and, love offerings from local churches or individuals. As we travel, it is our firm conviction that God will honour His Word and continue to provide for our needs.

Statement of Faith

• There is only one true and living God, eternally existing as three equal persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
• The Bible is the inspired, unerring Word of God.
• Every person is lost in sin, separated from Christ and in need of a Saviour.
• Jesus died as a full and sufficient payment for the sins of all and rose again on the third day.
• Salvation is a gift of God and received only through personal faith and relationship in Jesus Christ.
